can i use a Belkin wireless G network adapter for my ps3 network connection?

my PS3 slim 250HDD won’t connect using the wireless function that’s built in. is there any alternative accept from an Ethernet cable. I have a Belkin USB Wireless G Network Adapter 54mbs in my room 4 my pc. My router is downstairs and i wondered if u could plug that in the USB port at the front and by doing so boost the signal.

It will work if you port forward. It is a real pain to do. Also it will not work that well.

I recommend that you trade in your G router for an N. Here is the reason why.

G routers work best for e-mail text and pictures.
N routers work best for video, music and gaming.

Both do the same thing its just in the way they handle it the info they send. N band will work much better for you. I know this because I use to use a G band on my 360, it worked but not too my liking. I switched to an N band and have almost no issues anymore other than the fact the 360 is a piece of junk.
