Can anyone give me any information about McKee sewing machines?
I’m thinking about buying a sewing machine from an antique shop. It works, so I’m not worried about that. It’s teal and white and looks very old. It’s made of metal and is attached to what looks to be the base of a case, but the top part of the case is no longer there. The label reads MeKee (or MeKee’s) De Luxe. However, I’m having a hard time finding information about it on the internet. Does anyone have any information about the brand? Such as whether it’s a sturdy machine or the years they were made or any tidbit? I would appreciate it!
Teal and white sounds 50’s to 60’s; missing case parts sound like it’s worth, at most, $10 or so. See:

Not a brand I’m familiar with. There were hundreds of types of “badged” machines produced then, many of them copies of the Singer 15, painted differently and each store could add their own name to the machine. Sears continues the badging tradition today… Kenmore sewing machines are Janomes in disguise, Kenmore dishwashers, last time I looked, were Kitchenaids…. etc., etc.
