What is the best kind of brush to use boots to turn out?

Hi guys! I just got a big TB gelding (yay!). I always use Riding boots or polo wraps on every horse I ride. However, my new horse brushes pretty much when he moves to close. I want him safe and protected. So my question is: What are the best kind of boots for use turn out? (Davis brush boots, neoprene splint boots, dressage / sport boots, etc?) Thank you guys! I managed barns for 10 years, so I've seen a lot of horses turned out in many different boots. Here is my take on it: Davis Boots: Not good. Do not breathe, so they keep a lot of heat. This can not be good for the tendons, plus the sweat that builds up between them can lead to fungal problems. They are OK for riding, because they are only for an hour, but Voter turnout for the NO. I do not like 'em to ride because of the heat. And I had some problems with rubbing of the boots. Dressage Sport Boots: They work OK, your horse's legs do not have to get underneath. But the fuzzy fleece does not collect grass seeds, burrs and mud. So you constantly have to clean them. And you can not turn your horse into them when it is wet, or there is dew on the grass, b / c the fabric absorbs the water and they get waterlogged. They work for fair-weather turnout OK, but you will often be replaced. Neoprene splint boots: they are OK. Horse's legs get sweaty sometimes including, but not so bad. They stay on pretty well, and offer good protection. But with the Velcro, which pass through the little metal clasps, if the person by focusing on (ie, the idiot barn employees) crank it too tight they can hurt your horse. For this reason I can not recommend if you are not completely trust the barn where people aboard. Advantages: they are cheap! Best for Turnout of only a few hours, not the whole day. Woof brushing boots: My favorite for the turnout! This is what I do when I a horse turnout need to use all day in boots. Woof brand boots are used by many X-country riders, because on them, even if staying at a gallop through brush and water, and they are breathable neoprene. Your horse's legs get less sweaty under it, and less likely that your horse is rubbing his hair. They are more expensive than the neoprene splint boots but they hold up well. Besides, none of which attract metal buckles the belt too tight! I've had the same pair for 5 years. Sometimes they lose the Velcro fasteners, But it can be repaired. I add a few more: Professional Choice Sports Medicine Boots-They work for t / o in dirt paddocks, but not in the grass, they collect grass seeds and burrs. Equilibriam marine boundary they bought one and they work great. Made of breathable material called Somatex, they breathe better than any boots I ever seen. They look super comfortable to wear, very light and flexible. They are perhaps not as thick and protective measures as others, so if your horse really hits hard even I do not know if it would be enough.
