When my band records a cover song and streams it through myspace, we will be sued?

My band is big in the band Aiden, and wanted a record a cover version of their songs. We have recently started and wanted to stream it from our myspace fan as a tribute to the band. Would they complain we told them tribute? I had always thought that it was only illegal if you made money off of her, but apparently I was wrong. Can anyone shed some light on this? We had no intention of selling benefit or any kind of cover you from ours. Thanks in advance!
